Little Stompers Concerts turn music education into a live experience. Featuring professional New Orleans musicians and Little Stompers teaching artists, each concert introduces young audiences to the sounds, rhythms, instruments, and traditions that have shaped our city’s musical culture.
These aren’t sit-and-watch performances. Children are invited to participate, respond, move, and interact with the musicians throughout the concert—creating an experience that is engaging, educational, and fun.
Designed to work for larger groups, Little Stompers Concerts can bring an entire school, grade level, library audience, or community together through the shared experience of live New Orleans music.

Every Little Stompers Concert is guided by curriculum designed to introduce children to New Orleans music in an engaging and age-appropriate way. Live performance, musical demonstrations, storytelling, and audience participation work together to help children understand not only what New Orleans music sounds like, but where it comes from and why it matters.

The live band gives children the opportunity to see and hear musical concepts happening in real time—from individual instruments and rhythms to the way musicians listen, communicate, and create together.

Begin your adventure with our Roots of New Orleans Music concert, which invites audiences to explore the origins of New Orleans’ music and culture.
From West African dance traditions practiced in Congo Square, to brass bands winding through the streets of the French Quarter, this “music in motion” concert is sure to have you and your young ones out of your seats and moving to the music.
Big Easy Beats
This action-packed program explores iconic styles of New Orleans Music through some of the most popular rhythms on the planet.
Audiences will swing and sway with two legendary Louie's, shuffle along with Rhythm and Blues pioneers like Fats Domino and Irma Thomas, and Rock and Roll through the ages with figures including Professor Longhair.
NOLA Music Now
Feel the bounce of New Orleans today in this immersive musical experience. Showcasing styles and artists which continue to define Nola today, this concert promotes the importance of social values including freedom and community.

After setting a funky tone with the music of the Meters and Mardi Gras Indians, "Nola Music Now'' highlights native New Orleanians who are turning heads in the pop music scene today, including Jonathan Batiste, PJ Morton, and Big Freedia.
